I can't say enough wonderful things about Leslye (and Gentle Nurturing). She was referred to me not only by my family, also by friends and my pediatrician!
From the start of our very first meeting, both I and my baby were so comfortable and at ease with her. The pain and discomfort I was feeling while breastfeeding disappeared within a day of our consultation. Her advice and suggestions were exactly what my baby and I needed to better connect while nursing. Her help didn't stop there -- when my milk supply started to dwindle (and I couldn't keep up with my constantly-eating baby), her follow-up consultation helped me increase my milk supply and provide ample milk for my baby.

I give her thumbs up too! I used her when I had my first born last year; I wasn't sure if my son was getting enough breastmilk, and she came & watched how I positioned my baby boy for breastfeeding, weighed him (before & after being fed) to make sure he got an adequate amount of milk. It was such a relief and worth every penny to know that I was doing an "okay" job!!!

This woman is amazing.
If you have any pain while breastfeeding -- call her immediately! She came to my hospital room, and it took her less than 5 minutes to make what was painful and difficult into an easy, pain-free, joyful experience. She has all the equipment, she knows her stuff, and she makes you feel at ease. Couldn't recommend her more highly.

It is the rare person indeed who combines expertise that is second to none with love, tenderness and compassion. You are one of those rare people! Despite having taken a breastfeeding class and reading books on the subject, breastfeeding our son was an uphill battle from the start. We saw a lactation consultant in the hospital and 2 other consultants that came highly recommended. Subsequently we met with you, and within 2 consultations, you discovered our baby's problem and taught us techniques to fix it once and for all. Our son was successfully breastfeeding just a few days later.
We have since had other difficulties and each time we felt comfortable calling upon you for help or just for a reassuring voice. You have consistently presented us with a solution that worked, or have had the foresight to recommend that a visit to the doctor was required. You are incredibly generous with your time and have a very calming and comforting presence on both child and parent. You have become our friend, as well as our lactation consultant.

What can we say! The services you provide would have taken us hours of phone calls, miles of travel and dealing with people we really didn't want to transact with. You were like a one-stop shopping frenzy and provided us with everything we needed to get through the pregnancy and beyond. The massage therapist came on time each and every week, and I felt able to continue despite the discomfort pregnancy brought me. The labor doula worked well with us, my doctor, the baby and the assistance after we came home from the hospital was even better.
