Latest Additions: Curious George Dolls and Sunglasses
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of two more children's products: Curious George plush dolls sold at toy and department stores, and children's sunglasses sold at Dollar General.
The adage "look and you shall find" seems to be continually proven true. As with past recalls -- a record number this fall -- these products were made in China.
Lead, for anyone who hasn't heard by now, is nothing you want your children playing with. It can cause permanent brain damage, lowering IQ or possibly even leading to violent behavior.
Here are the details of the latest recall:
 Curious George plush dolls made by Marvel.
About 175,000 12-inch plush dolls with plastic faces, dressed to represent five themes: birthday, fireman, sweet dreams, tool time and tool time with a soft face. The plush dolls were sold with a Curious George storybook or activity book. The following product and SKU numbers are printed on the packaging.
- Birthday : 90253/ 8-83199-9025
- Fireman : 90246/ 8-83199-90246-73-5
- Sweet Dreams : 90247/ 8-83199-90247-4
- Tool Time : 90251/ 8-83199-90251-1
- Tool Time (soft face) : 90251/ 8-83199-90251-1
They were sold at toy and discount department stores nationwide from December 2005 through August 2007 for about $15.

- Children's Fashion Sunglasses sold at Dollar General.
About 51,000 yellow sunglasses imported by Dolgencorp and sold for $1 at Dollar General stores have been recalled. The word "CHINA" is printed on the left side of the frame. The UPC #400007860896 and words "Fashion Sunglasses" and "Time to Play Every Day" are printed on the product's red hangtag.
