Bambo Nature diapers are 100% chlorine free!
Why is chlorine a problem in disposable diapers?
Diapers bleached with chlorine can be an irritant and can cause reactions in infants, babies and toddlers. Some American companies have using chlorine to accommodate this concern and because of this, refer to their diapers as natural. This does not make a diaper pure, eco friendly or better for or baby.
This is not the only predicament. In the manufacturing process, millions of gallons of bleach-contaminated waste water escape into the public water system and although the water is treated, not all the bleach and other toxins are removed before the water is released back into the ecosystem.
Bambo Nature uses TOTALLY CHLORINE FREE PULP from StoraEnso to bleach their diapers. This is an OXYGEN DELIGNIFICATION PROCESS in combination with hydrogen peroxide or ozone as the main bleaching agents. Paper made from TCF is made of 100% fresh b\fibers with NO recycled pulp. This gives the diapers the clean, white characteristic, sterilizes the pulp and eliminates taste and odor.
Ideally, all disposable diapers should be composted, not thrown out with the trash. Ordinary paper diapers, even those made in the U.S. that claim to be eco friendly, are only 35% biogradable. Bambo Nature are 75% biodegradable and if you remove the non-biodegradable parts, you will reduce the volume of waste going into the landfill or your home compost. (The non-biodegradable parts are the elastic band, tabs and outermost backsheet.) All packaging is biodegradable.

The Bottom Line: Bambo Nature is fully breathable yet ultra absorbent. It is thin with a unique layer that draws wetness away from baby, even with repeat wetting. The breathable backsheet allows air to circulate to the skin, reducing moisture content and eliminating the risk of skin irritation.
