Gentle Nurturing has three types of Medela pumps available for rent. Prices vary depending upon the type of pump and the length of the rental.
The Symphony is the first and only breastpump with a 2-Phase Pumping Program
for effective letdown and expression. It is a very manageable pump and
has the ability to mimic the baby's suck, which can be important in
maintaining a milk supply.
The Lactina has
an adjustable speed and vacuum, and can be used with a battery pack or
car adapter. It is fairly light weight and can, thus, be carried to and
from work.
The Classic is
the oldest of the three rental pumps, has been around a very long time
and has always been reliable. It is heavier than the other two and
therefore is less portable, but it can be left on a desk or table for
continual usage.
All three of these pumps are BPA-free, and require sterile, single person kits, also available through Gentle Nurturing.
